The time has come to get serious about buying a house. Since we have moved to Arizona we have looked at hundreds of houses. There have been 5 different houses on which we have written contracts, none of which have worked out. The decision to lease for a year was made after realizing the real estate market here is a mess! There is so much news and daily updates on this topic, I can not even keep up with it myself. I am refusing to post anything on finding houses until we actually close on one.
The boys have been enjoying ALL of their Christmas presents, including Caleb's trains and Noah's video games. Here is a look at the band the kids have put together on Lego Rock Band. I think they call themselves The Scottsdale Screamers. :)
Eric update... His athletic ability continues to amaze me even years after his days of organized sports have ended. He is the only person I know that can do nothing but eat and drink nonstop for 12 days, then pick up and run 6 miles like it was a walk in the park. I, on the other hand, am struggling to get back into a workout routine, although it is much easier to get out and do something when it is 70 degrees outside!
The Christmas decorations are finally down and put away. After 7 weeks, it was time for them to go. The house looks so dull and boring now, and Caleb lost his favorite hiding spot behind the tree. We are looking forward to settling into a routine again, and for the return of our neighbors from their Holiday travels.
The citrus trees in the back yard are working in overdrive. The clementine's are getting sweeter each and every week. Very soon, it will be necessary for us to open a roadside fruit stand, as it will be impossible for us to eat all that is produced.
In the meantime, we are stocking up on extra supplies just in case any of our Midwest readers are looking for a warm, winter getaway!
