Aloha to Bushia

Well after almost 2 years, Bushia headed back to the mainland with only a one way ticket.  It has been almost two weeks now and Jonah is still piling games and puzzles in her room to play when Bushia gets home. :)
Bushia and the boys posed for a few photos after dinner the night before she left.  She also took pictures with them back to back on her phone to measure how tall the boys were when she left.  The next time we see her face to face, the boys will be taller and she will have a new cochlear implant.  We are very excited for her!!!

Bushia Update

We are happy to report that after a successful kidney stone removal earlier this month and several days of nausea with many subsequent doctor visits, tests, and scans, Bushia is back among the happy and healthy!  It was a long and bumpy road but we are thankful it is all over and that Bushia is getting back into a "normal" routine and learning to drink more water.  She is also becoming an expert on what foods contain oxalate.  Whew!

Bushie's B-day!

We celebrated Bushia's birthday last month with a low-key day at home.  Eric and I made some chocolate decadence dessert for breakfast and it was AMAZING!  I give us five stars!  The boys woke up early to help decorate the house to make her day extra-special.

 The boys made cards for Bushia and as we were getting them out the night before, Jonah recognized, "That's Bushia's!" and he took the card and ran it into her room on her birthday eve!

 She had lots of help to blow out the candles!

 And even more help to eat the dessert!
