Field Day

A few weeks ago, Caleb participated in the primary field day at his school.  Jonah and I went to watch and he ended up participating in almost every event with Caleb and his friends.

Caleb was a pro at the disc spinning!

The sixth graders ran most of the activities and Noah was the official time keeper and announcer for the day. :)

The over/under ball pass was Jonah's first activity….after that, he was hooked and jumped into EVERY one!

Jonah Sleeps

As I was scrolling through our January pics, I found lots of pictures of Jonah asleep, anywhere and everywhere!

In a blanket covered office chair,
 sitting on the couch,
 in a tiny umbrella stroller,
out to dinner,
playing on the iPad (with Caleb fake-sleeping for the picture :)),
 in mom's bed,
 and in Noah's arms.

He is refusing to lie down and take a nap in the afternoon any longer.  This situation has led to the many pass out moments seen above.

Jonah's 1/2 Birthday

Today Jonah is 2 1/2! What better way to celebrate than some brother time at the park.
Face first down the slide...no hands. Sorry to the other moms at the park. Sometimes you just have to let them go.

Never Enough Baby Jonah

As I was scrolling through some of our recent photos, and contemplating another Life Lately post, I encountered numerous photo of Jonah which made me giggle.  Here is a little glimpse into what our lives our like, living with this awesomely wild and funny and often times outrageous child.

Doesn't everyone use a headlamp to see what is really in their cereal bowl?
The picture below is just indicative of the amount of time that the child spends worshiping his Bushia.  He is eating a bowl of kale salad, one of his favorites….and hers :)
 He is overwhelmingly entertaining...
 and handsome!
HEre he is displaying his edamame eating technique.  He squeezes the beans into the bowl, then drinks them.
So big, yet still so tiny and precious...
He often rolls out of bed in order to snuggle with his big brother!
He has a knack for jewelry...
 And he loves candy!
 Such a little ham...
 He's quite the reindeer too!
Our sweet Baby Jo…I can tell this pic is old because he hasn't worn a diaper in a long time….he suddenly is even sleeping in big boy undies too!

Jonah Turns 2!

Yesterday was Jonah's 2nd birthday.  It is so hard to believe that he is already two years old!  It is very cliché to say it, but it does seem like just yesterday Eric and I were entertaining the thought of a third child.  Wondering how another child could possibly fit into our already perfect, two little boys, family of four.  Well here he is....now two years old, and as perfect as can be!
Some of his current favorites are reading books, trucks, Elmo, trains, eating, golf clubs, the iPad, swimming, taking out the trash, and anything that involves Noah, Caleb, or Bushia!
He says lots of words, runs, throws balls, and catches.....sometimes, attempts to dribble a basketball, rides a three wheeled scooter and a tricycle, can jump....barely getting both feet off the ground, climbs every ladder/structure at the playground, and is currently trying to learn how to armpit fart.  Oh the joys of having 2 older brothers!  He is also almost potty trained.  This was something that just came about almost a month ago, after almost two years of watching everyone else in the house use a toilet.  Jonah finally decided he was ready.  I have yet to really commit to potty training yet.  But with my minimal effort, he is now wearing big boy undies at home and on several outings out of the house (accidentally) and has only had a handful of accidents.  Boys are so easy to take potty anywhere!  As soon as we get to Noah's basketball practice, Jonah points to the bushes and yells, "Shi-shi!," attempting to remove his pants.  Classy kid.  But oh so cute.
Birthday morning and he wasn't sure what to do about the crepe paper across his doorway....so he just crawled under it!
He knew exactly what to do with the hanging balloon though!
After some encouraging from his brothers, he smashed through the paper!
 8:00 a.m. = cake time!
 I'm 2!
 Cheese!
 Time for presents...

 Yummy cake!
The best part about a two year old is that mom still gets to choose the cake flavor....yellow cake with chocolate icing in the fridge!  My fave.
Oh, just reading some cards from my family!
oops!
Later we headed into Waikiki for some lunch and beach time!
 CPK!
 with dessert!

 Waikiki was packed....summer is here!
Now that is one tired, two year old....napping in his undies! Love.
Giant feet, by the way....
