Field Day

A few weeks ago, Caleb participated in the primary field day at his school.  Jonah and I went to watch and he ended up participating in almost every event with Caleb and his friends.

Caleb was a pro at the disc spinning!

The sixth graders ran most of the activities and Noah was the official time keeper and announcer for the day. :)

The over/under ball pass was Jonah's first activity….after that, he was hooked and jumped into EVERY one!

Busy Saturday

Saturday started with soccer for Noah. He scored 1 goal in the first half and logged a shut out as goalie in the second.
Next to Caleb's baseball game where he went 2 for 3 and played some great defense at the pitcher's position. (No pic)
Then to Caleb's soccer game where he scored a goal and had 2 assists.
Then to Noah's basketball game where he played a great game in a tough loss. 3 points and 10 rebounds!
Finally, to a karate birthday party for Caleb's friend....
Whew! Busy day. Not to mention the house full of people Caleb and I came home to! Ready for a relaxing Sunday.

Caleb Turned 8!

September 29 th was another fun day in our household! Caleb turned 8 years old and we again started out day with dessert and presents!
The chocolate coconut cupcakes with a peanut butter frosting topped with Reese's Pieces were amazing! Other than the big celebratory morning, Caleb had a pretty normal Monday filled with school, homework, and soccer practice! :)

Caleb Turns Seven!

Such a fun weekend celebrating sweet little Caleb! It started after school on Friday with shave ice!

Friday night was Caleb and Dad movie night...Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Noah and I head to UH for the rainbow wahine volleyball game!

After a day of soccer on Saturday, followed by a night at the movies with dad, we spent Sunday, Caleb's actual birthday like this....
Navigating the pretend American Ninja Warrior course in our living room.
Then singing happy birthday, opening presents, and eating cake!
We then played with new toys for a while
then accidentally showed up to Noah's soccer game over an hour early....which was okay as we headed here to pass the time....

After Noah's game, at which a child made my sweet little seven year old cry for making fun of his Luigi costume at the playground, we headed out to eat some pizza! (It's painful not being able to protect your child in EVERY situation. Mom cried too. Pizza made it better.)

Happy 7th Birthday Caleb! xo

Caleb's Last U6 Soccer Game

On Saturday, Caleb wrapped up his under-6 season with a big win, 7-1!  It probably could have been much more, but I was reffing and blocked the ball myself (on purpose) and gave it to the other team.  :)
Caleb scored four goals and was over ecstatic to get a new trophy and  bag of goodies!

Caleb is 6

Yes, you read that correctly.  Our sweet little Caleb Baleb Best Friend is 6 years old!

And there are so many good ways to celebrate....that don't involve having a fever.  The mild fever arose after school, on the Friday before his birthday, interfering with his plans for the evening.  He was scheduled to go to Awana's with a friend but instead spent the evening lounging on an air mattress on the living room floor watching kid shows.  That's one of our secrets for spicing up a normal night at home with kids....blow up the air mattress.  Just about as simple as the previous weeks showing of the movie on the lanai.
On his birthday morning, we celebrated with presents and cake!

And later we enjoyed Noah's soccer game, some playtime on the Wii, a trip to Dave and Busters, and a shopping stop at Walmart.  What more can you ask for at 6 years old?

Fun Run

Last Wednesday was the Fun Run Fundraiser at the boys' school.  It was 8:30 a.m. and it was hot!  The kids had a ton of fun running around like crazy and even more fun enjoying all the snacks and Jamba Juice afterwards.

Caleb's class.....he's the far right, back row.
Noah in the orange shorts with some of the other fourth graders.
Thank heavens for the parent misters!
 Caleb attempts to lap EVERYONE....again!
 Snacks with their besties!
