Noah's Big News

Noah finally decided it is time to remove his training wheels. He's been riding more and more with Dad since we've moved and I think his confidence has really soared. Then the time came, to take them off....he was so excited! Then he got on the bike. Not so much excitement anymore, rather terror.
At first he was a bit shaky and couldn't keep a straight line. He's afraid to go too fast, yet can't maintain balance without his speed. Here is one of his first attempts...

As expected he has trouble stopping and getting going. Eric was running along side him and each time he was about to crash, he would grab Noah lifting him off the bike as it crashed. Noah was cracking us up. In his most serious of tone's, he would say, "It's okay. The bike can't die, but I can." The scene usually looked liked this....

After a while he was like an old pro...minus the starting and stopping! Soon he'll be off for miles with Dad no doubt.
