First Day of Preschool

Today is Caleb's first day of school at Chaparral Christian Preschool. We've talked about it for days and days with mixed reactions. Some days it is, "Yeah, I have school too, Noah." Other days it's, "Me no school!" And we woke up this morning with just that type of reaction...me no school, or more specifically, "I no have friends!" Not sure if it was talking too much about the start of school or the excitement of having Bushia in town, but Caleb was not feeling school this morning.

This all changed as we pulled into the parking lot. As we were walking up to the school he said, "This my school!" Surprisingly he even let me take his picture without putting up a fight! We signed in and entered the classroom, and suddenly it was, mom who?!? We found his cubby together and then he spotted some tray toys. I guess this was time for me to say goodbye. I said, "Caleb mommy is leaving." Pause. Waiting for a reaction.

Caleb says, "Bye mom. Me kiss" So I bent down, gave him a kiss and left. No drama. No tears.

This is a good thing, right?
