This last weekend was our last weekend of summer....so we tried to make the most of it! Friday morning they boys and I headed to Pearl Harbor with our visitors. We just did the movie, visitor center, and USS Arizona memorial before heading home to relax. The weather was gorgeous that day and the boys had the best time running around in the grass!
Friday night we were glued to the TV watching the opening ceremonies for the Summer Olympics. Love.
Saturday morning the boys headed to the beach with Dad and our visitors. I stayed home with Jonah while he caught up on some much needed sleep. It was a sad afternoon as our visitors left to head home....and the boys' best friend in our neighborhood moved to the big island too. :( Needless to say, we all laid on the couch, lazily, all evening and went to bed EARLY!
Sunday, it was off to the beach again for a BBQ with friends. The day was a bit cloudy, but still so fun! Noah and Caleb body surfed some BIG waves at Sherwoods. They swang on the tree swing and the rope there. We watched RIMPAC exercises going on out at sea. And the boys even played a little non-beer beer pong.
This was one of those amphibious military vehicles that would make its way all the way onto the beach and drop off marines during their training. It was seriously super cool!
And when the teacher asks....what did you do this summer? I'm crossing my fingers that the first answer isn't, "we played beer pong on the beach!"
