Aloha Andi

Just over a week ago, Andi came to visit us here in Hawaii.  Hopefully, the first of many visits from her while we are living here. :)
After spoiling us with gifts upon her arrival....books, clothes, and a puzzle....we enjoyed a week filled with action. From hiking to homework, facials, and some cocktails....a good time was had by all.
Here is our week in pictures....in no particular order.

Caleb flying his kite for the first time.

Tide-pooling (I think that is a verb:)) along the south shore.

Even Baby Jo got in on some of that action.

Drinks and pupus at The Kahala Resort.

We saw some wedding photographs being taken here and this was my attempt to have the boys reenact the photos.  It's a love-hate relationship.

Cocktails at Rumfire in Waikiki after our luxurious facials at the Spalekalani

After hiking to the top of Mariner's Cove...

An afternoon at Kalama beach park in Kailua. Always a favorite.

Waiting to board the Pineapple Express at the Dole Plantation.

All aboard!

We did a drive-by of the north shore.  Here we stopped to take in the scenery at Shark's Cove.

...and at Sunset Beach.

And no north shore trip is complete without a food truck experience. This may be the hottest, spiciest plate of shrimp one may ever encounter.  My mouth is watering and my lips burning as I look at the picture.

And we also stopped for some drinks and a little surf viewing at The Turtle Bay Resort.

I would say it was so fun to "RE-connect" after not seeing each other for several months, but no connection was ever lost between us.  Some friendships are always present and remain strong no matter the time or the distance that separates.  Love me some Andi.
