8 Years Old!

This week, our sweet little Noah turned EIGHT!  Holy cats, I feel old.  Where has the time gone?  Just beginning the third grade, Noah is quite the smart little boy.  He LOVES video games and computers, almost to a fault.  His favorite sports are chess, soccer, and basketball, and his favorite color is orange.  He is a fish in the pool and has really started scaring, I mean, impressing mom and dad with his diving and flipping skills.  Speaking of, I need to get some video of that soon.  In school he excels in math and science and works very hard to do well in reading and spelling.  He is not really overly obsessed with any one thing such as Star Wars, Legos, or sports...he likes variety in his life.  His taste buds are still immature, to put it lightly.  He is not one to venture into new foods, and when forced to, crying ensues and he has proven he can induce vomiting.  He is a curious little one asking questions, seeking wisdom well beyond his years, often times leading to awkward silences and redirecting from mom and dad.  He is an amazing big brother spending time daily talking to Jonah and repeating NO-AH, NO-AH, over and over in an attempt to conquer his first word.  And although he and Caleb fight like brothers, they do play very well together doing puzzles, playing games, trains, and even make believe.  (So fun to watch, by the way.)

For his actual day, we celebrated at 7 a.m. with chocolate pie and presents before school.  Noah had a half day and I'm sure spent much of his afternoon playing video games.  In the evening, friends came over for a celebration with cake.  The day spilled over into Wednesday when we celebrated again with Uncle Dave, T, and Megs. Lucky.
