Easter Weekend

Saturday morning we began the day discussing how we are going to decorate our eggs over breakfast. As you can tell, Noah takes the Easter egg decorating very seriously. He must have asked to dye eggs over 50 times in the last 48 hours!

Then the real fun began. We all took time to dye eggs together, and surprisingly there was little mess from Mr. Caleb dropping the eggs into the mugs.
Here he is with the no-look pass of the egg to the drying rack.

Noah, our little scientist, tried dying an egg in Dad's coffee.

After the egg dying, we headed up to Sedona for some more family time. By the time we got there, we were starving, so lunch was the first stop. And of course, we couldn't pass on dessert!

After lunch it was time for some fresh air. We drove along Oak Creek Canyon and made a few stops for photos. Since you cannot tell from looking at the picture, I'll let you know, these were some extremely stressful situations for me. I don't do well with my children near open cliffs and extreme rushing water!

Easter Sunday began with an egg hunt in the backyard. The boys were so excited. Noah kept saying, "This is so much fun!" Caleb spent most of the time following Noah around looking in all of the places where Noah just found an egg. :)

After church, Uncle Dave, Tyler, and Megan came over for a party! The kids played all afternoon, even having a race with eggs on spoons.

I think there is a candy debate happening here.

Here is Megs informing me of all the goodies the Easter bunny brought her.

The crash from the sugar high came around 7:00 at our house. I hope everyone had a Happy, Blessed Easter! We certainly did, although we missed our Missouri family and friends.

  1. I can just see you stressing out with the cliffs and open water, there is no way I could have watched. I def would have needed a drink after that. But great pics.....I do recall and still have the pic of you, me, Andi and Missy probably on that same rock from HS spring break, ha!!
