Let's Go Cu#&*$?!

Noah has finally started Little League. It seems very cliche, but it is fun to have a son playing little league. Not that I am a HUGE baseball fan at all, nor do I really want to see him continue for years to come, but the whole American idealism of young boys beginning with tee ball, then the farm league, followed by the minors and majors of little league is still pretty cool.

Noah's tee ball team is hysterical. You could seriously make a movie about the group of characters on the team....the over achieving kids playing everyone elses position. The sweet tiny boy who weighs less than his glove. The lone girl on the team. The obviously right handed boy, whose mom swears he is left handed. The team clown. The calculator who must over explain every action of the ball. (That would be Noah) And then there is always a flower picker in outfield right next to the squirmer who can't wait to potty. During the first game, the boys were more interested in hitting themselves in their cups, rather than actually playing baseball. :)

I can already see Noah's improvements in throwing and catching the ball. It seems that time spent with Dad in the street is paying off!

Now for the painful part. As mentioned previously, I'm not a lover of baseball. I simply love Cardinal baseball. The cardinal red, Fredbird, a cold Bud, Paddy O's, Albert Pujols. Whats not to like? Having said that....a mother's love conquers all.

LET'S GO CUBBIES!
