Wednesdays are certainly becoming the busiest weekday around our house. Although Caleb has no school, Noah's extra activities make up for it! On Wednesdays after school, Noah has chess club for an hour. That's right, chess club! He absolutely LOVES it! He is learning a ton about the game and is slowly becoming a decent competitor. We have yet to start on the Saturday chess tournaments, but we are hoping to get started there soon. I think I need to talk to his coach first to be sure he is ready. :) At dinner tonight when I asked some things he learned about chess today, he had to whisper them in my ear so Dad couldn't hear. Lol! Do you think the kid is a little competitive? I'm looking forward to more posts about the chess club and Noah's progress.
Wednesdays also seem to be the day when our housework has piled up from the past weekend. Monday, Tuesday......2 days really? Is that all it takes to turn our house back into a disaster? Seems to be so. With the two, part-time jobs I have recently started, housework is again becoming more of a scheduled activity...with limited time slots.
Tonight, Noah also started Little League practice. He is in the T-ball division and so far, so good. The coach was super organized and had some productive drills planned and ready to go for the kids. I'm still unsure as to whether the kids hit off a tee, or are pitched to by a coach. I understand the division is called T-ball, but these are 6 year olds and many of them are capable of hitting a coach's pitch. We'll see. Perhaps I shall ask the coach. Who am I kidding? I can barely call in an order for a pizza and those are people I NEVER have to encounter again. :)
And, to top off this Wednesday...or to kick it off, I should say...Caleb wet the bed around 4:30 a.m., so after getting him clean and back to bed I heard another door open and close (around 4:45). Waiting for Noah to enter our room and bed, I guess I fell back asleep. At 6:45 when I went to wake Noah, he was NOT in his room! I guess he decided that it would be a good idea to play some Wii when he woke up early! Not really a big deal, but.......what if it was 1:00 a.m. when he woke up, and decided to play Wii. It was dark. He has no clock in his room. That poor kid needs his beauty rest! Luckily, he was ready to check out tonight at the dinner table. Nothing says, "Good night Mom and Dad" better than two boys asleep by 7:15!
