Desert Botanical Gardens

On Tuesday afternoon we headed to the Desert Botanical Gardens for some fresh air and sunshine. On the second Tuesday of each month admission is free after 1 p.m. What a great way for us to check it out. Let's face it, my kids and I enjoy the outdoors, but walking around a garden of cacti...how thrilling can that really be? So a free afternoon was perfect for us. And after about an hour and a half, we were done. It was cool to see all the different types of cacti out there. We saw so many different shapes of cacti and shades of green. Definitely not a place I would regularly pay full price admission, but for an afternoon of soaking up some sun in a change of scenery, and admission is free....I'm sure we'll head back again next month.
