At Noah's school, the children put on a show for their families to celebrate the winter holidays. The entire show focused around a gingerbread theme. The class was the Gingerbread Kids and they performed stories aloud, sang a gingerbread song, and had gingerbread boy and girl chants. It s was really sweet and all the kids did an awesome job. Eric and I were so proud of Noah...all of his reading parts were done very loud and clear...much unlike the shy and quiet boy he can be at times. He also picked up a few extra lines because one of the other students got too nervous in front of all the people...and Noah took the extra role like a pro. The video below is of their story about the Gingerbread boy. It is a bit lengthy...only viewed in full by grandmas, I'm sure!
The older he gets the more he is growing out of his shell and becoming his own person. It is so fun to watch! Afterwards the kids decorated gingerbread houses to bring home with them. This was great because even the siblings were able to participate...and they could eat some decorations! I can't believe 1st Grade is halfway over!
