Series slut. So that is a little harsh, but that is what a friend called me as of late because of what I have been reading. Lately, I have been obsessed with reading the series of books by Janet Evanovich. If you have not read them, I highly recommend them. Extremely easy reading and just as entertaining. The main character throughout is a female bounty hunter, who is a true character! And she is not the only one. Throughout the series, several quirky characters develop so fully, that you feel like you've known them forever. When on the Today Show, Evanovich compared her character developments to those of Seinfeld and I thought that was perfect! The books are laugh out loud funny and peek ahead to the next page suspenseful. (I hate when I glance ahead at the next page and see a name or something that ruins the current suspense for me...in any book!) Anyways...highly recommend for pure entertainment.
When I can't find the next number in the series at the library, I've been turning to Harry Potter. So good. I've reread through number three. Another entertaining quick read to bring out the inner tween in anyone.
And speaking of inner tween, I've recently watched the movie Twilight and can not wait to start reading that series. I'm saving it for my beach read!
So many books are currently on my "list to read!" If only there were more time. And only if I wasn't stuck on these series'!
P.S. Noah and I just started George's Marvelous Medicine, by Rohld Dahl. I'm loving it more now than I did when I was a kid!
