One Fish, Two Fish

I've always known my kids were good swimmers for their respective ages. But this summer, they have blown me away. After a month of living and swimming with the Ohlers, Noah has mastered his freestyle, and works everyday on his backstroke, and butterfly. He looks like a little fish under water! He also has taught himself how to dive, front flip, and back flip. When I asked how he learned to dive he says, "I just watched Wil." This child is definitely ready for a swim team.

And as for Caleb, one week of swimming daily at Uncle Dave's, he is our second little fish. He is now anti-life jacket and only wears floaties and goggles. Too funny! He has no fear of water and is amazing at holding his breath and swimming under water. I can't believe he is only 2 years old! He loves, loves, loves the diving board and screams, "CANNON-BUNGA!," each time before he jumps. He started with the 360s off the diving board, but I quickly put a stop to that as he gets too focused on the spin and forgets to jump OUT. Today, he had Dad throwing him in the air doing 360s and back flips. He swims with his face in the water attempting full arm circles (with his arm floaties on). It is too funny to watch...and amazing at the same time. He'll be on his own in no time!

Here is some video of the boys and their "dives."

Also check out some more swimming and Noah's spin moves.

And finally, here is one of Caleb's many moments of impatience...following Noah's spectacular can opener. :)

  2. I "love" when Caleb runs...that reads a little better.
