Heard Museum

The third stop with our Arizona Passport took us to the Heard Museum. As a bonus to us, it was a Sizzlin' Summer Saturday and all of the events and exhibits at the museum were free! We started out with the arts and crafts. The boys made clothes-pin butterflies, spider bracelets, and colored pictures. We then headed over to the actual museum in the hopes to find more hands-on activities. We started a scavenger hunt provided at the admission booth, but that proved too difficult for even mom and dad!

Tempers were running high and patience low, so we headed to the auditorium for a Native American dance performance. It was the Yellow Bird Apache Dance Team and they were very cool! Here is a video clip of one of the older sons performing a hoop dance.

Afterwards we were treated to free ice cream! Perfect!

We headed back to the museum to pick up our goody bags and stamp our passport, then straight to the car to head home and swim!!! Temperature check...
