We jumped on a morning sail cruise for the first time since moving to Hawaii...scratch that....for the first time ever. It was so nice and such a fun experience for the kids. I lacked preparation in taking my motion sickness meds ahead of time. Oops. Regardless, the kids had a blast and we saw a few whales and turtles. Can't beat that.
The boys spent lots of time watching crabs and fish before getting on the boat.
Once aboard, the kids couldn't wait to set sail!
The view of our building...
Caleb and Noah spent most of the trip on the sunbathing nets....and eating donuts!
Jonah also got in on the donut action....and mom too. :)
Taking pictures of the whales was nearly impossible for me as the sail was down, engine off and we were floating at the mercy of the ocean waves....momma was not feeling well. But super cool to see these guys playing around and spraying through their blowholes.
We also caught them just before they dove down deeper into the ocean. It was amazing how close to the reef they were....and all the surfers. So amazing.
Caleb and Noah also spent lots of time trying to sneak in behind the wheel.
And mom spent lots of time chewing ice chips and staring at the horizon. :)
And we even spotted Larry Ellison's yacht. It is HUGE.
A fun adventure for all, and a lesson learned to prepare the meds WELL in advance for mom next time.
