This week we (the boys and I) managed to sneak in 2 different hikes. First we took Bushia to Diamondhead for her first experience there. The only thing we forgot was to have her eat a big breakfast before leaving!
Later in the week, the boys and I did our first waterfall hike, and it was awesome! It was an easy hike to get up to the fall on a partially paved road. The tricky part was when you got there, you had to climb down to it. Pretty steep. SUPER muddy from recent rain. And thankfully, lined with climbing ropes.
That is one HEAVY child to be carrying!
All smiles at the start!
Below is a picture of Noah getting ready to descend to the waterfall. It looks deceivingly easy in this photo.
The boys found a friend at the bottom.
Friends of mine that were with us ventured up to the other falls. Unfortunately, with Jonah I couldn't go....therefore the boys couldn't go. I can assure you, we will go back....
We were just as happy to play in the stream.
And climb all over the rocks...
Noah swam across to jump off some rocks....it was freezing!
Caleb attempted to climb out to the side...and fell in twice. I'm sure my friends thought I was a great mom when I gave no reaction to my child falling in the dark, freezing pool.
Baby's favorite part was the walk back to the car.
The worst part was the flat tire we returned to after the hike. Thank goodness for friends with handy boyfriends!
