What happened? That all went WAY too fast!
Well, we may not have accomplished everything on our spring break to-do list, but we sure gave it a good effort. And had fun in the process. The two biggies that were missed were the Honolulu Zoo (Caleb is adamant about not going there) and Hanauma Bay (I really need another adult to go there and enjoy the snorkeling).
So here it is....our spring break recap in photos!
At the Waikiki Aquarium, Noah was not shy about getting hands on with some of the little ocean critters. Caleb....not so much.
Caleb preferred the critters behind the glass.
We had lots of play time together with the three boys hanging out.
Jonah is not so sure here about why Noah is playing in his walker....
We finished a 300 piece puzzle. Not spectacularly large, but it is the largest puzzle we have in our house.
We enjoyed a beach near Waikiki at Sans Souci State Recreation Park. This is where the boys and I first snorkeled.
There is also a large grassy area there that we took full advantage of.
The boys made cards for their cousins.
Noah and I played an ENTIRE game of U build Monopoly. He was in heaven!
After an afternoon hike at the Makapu'u Lighthouse trail we spotted some hang gliders flying over Waimanalo. In the photo below, they are the two teeny, tiny black dots in the sky. :)
We dropped in on a Hawaii Five-0 shoot. Here are some Hawaiian dancers being filmed on the rocks in the background.
Best brothers!
Waialae beach park was another stop on our list. Lots of fun wind surfing to watch here, and again a large grassy area where we played football.
We adventured to a new hiking trail called Mariner's Cove. It is SO close to our house it is perfect! I took the picture below so I could show Noah his school. It's just in the shadow down in the valley.
Here the boys are looking down over Waimanalo.
And of course, Baby Jonah.....always having a good time!
Noah is so sweet. He kept saying, "it's just so beautiful!"
Here is our whole crew. Thanks Meghan and Emi for showing us the trail!
It's the first trail we've hiked where we have some forests!
After the big hike, Baby Jo was ready for a nap....in the hammock!
Journal entries were made. The library was visited. Shave ice was eaten. And we have a whole other post to fill you in on our St. Patrick's Day goodies!
Hope you enjoyed our spring break as much as we did!
