The week of Mach 17 the boys had spring break….then the following week, Mom did! Here is a look at what we did.
We headed to Wet n Wild Hawaii for our first trip of the season…free upgrade to the gold season pass and I suddenly see how many of my summer days will be spent….
I have semi taken an interest in couponing and sales/deals here on the island, thanks to a savvy classmate, and I scored a pop up tent from target online for $13, free shipping! We celebrated by incorporating into a giant fort that the boys slept in one night.
The last weekend of the boys' spring break included a roller coaster of emotions for mom and dad. Friday night was a nadir on the emotional scale when Caleb injured himself while wrestling with a friend at Noah's soccer tournament. The tournament director's called the paramedics who were convinced he had dislocated the shoulder and took him straight to the E.R. Dad and Uncle Tom had to cut their golf outing short to come grab Noah and Jonah and my car as I jumped into the ambulance with Caleb. Most of this entire ordeal is a blur, but Caleb ended up, looking handsome thanks to the nurses for combing the grass out of his hair, and sporting a new sling to rest his sprained shoulder. No broken bones, no dislocation. Best news ever.
The peak of emotion this weekend came when Noah's soccer team finished the Kirk Banks Tournament, and their entire regular season, undefeated!!!! They played the only other undefeated U-10 boys AYSO team in Hawaii (from Kona) and won a nail biter! So much fun! Way to go Noah!!!
4-0 this tournament!
Jonah and I brought Bushia along for a new hike we had yet to try. Good thing I remembered the bug spray!
And the snacks!
And thank goodness for saltwater mist in the air of the fresh ocean breeze to wrap up the outing!
The boys learned a few breakfast tricks and tips from Dad one morning. Even Jonah got to use a knife!
And they also had plenty of time to be boys and play in the dirt!
And no picture-post would be complete without a tribute to what Jonah has been up to….
Eating tomatoes like apples.
Unrolling the entire roll of toilet paper and blaming it on Bushia!
Trying out mom's makeup!
And….his first trip to the dentist! He did perfect and behaved so mature and so old!
He also found a big present just for him….
SURPRISE!!!
And he likes to drag mom or bushia to the park whenever he can!
