Mom's Birthday and a Few Extras

No need to point out the obvious.  Yes, my birthday was almost two weeks ago, but that's okay.
The weekend before my birthday (and after) Dad was working so we had to figure out ways to entertain ourselves, with minimal effort from mom, and without driving each other crazy.
So after two soccer games, we opted for a little water play in the driveway, which quickly led to a bike/scooter/wagon wash.  Somehow, my car got skipped.

I threw this first picture in from the games that morning because these kids are too cute.

As you can see below, Jonah spent most of his time hogging the water faucet....whether it was on or off.

That evening, the boys had a movie night on the lanai.  And in true Hawaii fashion, a random rain storm blew in and their evening was cut a bit short and moved to the dining room table.  You'd think we live on a tropical island or something with the random rain.

My birthday fell on a Tuesday this year which means one thing for me.....School. All. Day.  I start at 9:30 in the morning and end at 8:30 p.m.  Several things helped me through the day including a glorious morning of love from my boys and cupcakes!

In addition, the the numerous texts and phone calls from family and friends was always a nice surprise during my breaks.  During an extra long break thanks to getting out of class early, I snuck home and was surprised by flowers from my bestest friend.  So lovely.

And that evening after my late class, Eric and I were able to head out for an adult drink.  Just the two of us.  Also lovely.

Cheers to 32 years of Amy E....that's me!
