Saturday was Baby Jonah's first birthday! The day was filled with celebrations and sweets. A LOT of sweets.
Take a look.
First, we have a video to show Noah's artwork for the party. He worked in the driveway with chalk for almost an hour to make the perfect entry for Jonah's party.
And inside the house, there were lots of rainbows. Lots and lots of rainbows.
From the decorations.
To the desserts.
Rainbows were everywhere!
And the birthday boy. Looking as handsome as ever.
Take a look at Caleb's plate....mom always said you should have lots of color on your plate. M&M's, a white chocolate covered oreo pop with rainbow sprinkles, and layered rainbow jello. Heaven for my five year old. :)
Cake time!
He was a bit timid at first....wondering why the heck is everyone staring at me!
But he soon dug in...especially after we gave him a fork. ;)
A quick clean up in the bathroom sink....
and off to open presents!
We had one spoiled one year old! So many gifts included a stroller (yes it's purple with hearts) that he uses to push around his new basketball and Fredbird baseball,
an alphabet train (Noah is riding!), and a new golf set,
clothes, money, cards, Hawaiian books and puzzles, a new leap frog drum, a tent and tunnel, a box of Cherios, and so many texts, facebook messages, and tweets from across the country.
Jonah, you are loved!
Such a fun day for our sweet growing baby toddler boy. His one year check up is next week, so we'll update you then on his stats and his current favorites.
By the way, everything for this special first birthday party was homemade. It really was a lot of fun making all the decorations and the food for this party. It took time, but Jonah is worth it. So much of our inspiration for this party was found here on Pinterest. I think it turned out pretty well. Better than I imagined, actually.
And, I almost forgot. One more present for Jonah this weekend.
