Weekend Round-Up

Swim team and basketball, LATE, Friday night.  We had a few sleepers in the car by the time we got home.  Saturday was Eric's birthday!  He and I participated in the Challenge Nation Hawaii Race in downtown Honolulu.  So fun.  (I'll post more on this later.  We are clearly new to this city.)
After coffee in bed and cake for breakfast, we did some haricuts and visited a garage sale, where Jonah picked up a new slide for the house.

Our visitors took the boys to their soccer games and then went to see Madagascar 3!  Afterwards, KJ and Aidan had their first experience with some Hawaiian shave ice. Mmmm.

Sunday we headed to Kalama beach in Kailua to do some body surfing.  The waves were good and the current was strong!  Everyone did an awesome job!  Noah and KJ were pros from the get go.  Caleb was hesitant about jellyfish....still.  But gets out there when others go with him hand in hand.  Aidan was hesitant at first, but after he caught his first wave, he was hooked!  He has already asked to go again several times this morning.  We even saw a sea turtle....several times.  Kristen and Noah were within a few feet of it way out in the water!

Only a few minor incidents with Kristen getting knocked in the head with her board (ouch!)....and me wiping out and loosing my sunglasses.  Dang.

We ended the weekend with some bike riding, scootering, and skateboarding.  Then a little game of shag Dad/Uncle Eric's golf balls :) and finally a game of SpongeBob Sorry.
