Hanauma Bay with KJ and Aidan

Friday morning we trekked over to Hanauma Bay to do some snorkeling and play in the sand.  KJ was a pro at snorkeling...no fear, what so ever.  I was getting the creepies in some of the reef pockets we were getting into.  I kept spinning around quickly to see what was on my backside.  And there was Kristen, just swimming through all the little cracks and crevices that only she could fit!
Aidan loved walking along the shoreline and finding lots of fish.  Everyone of them had a name by the time we left.  He didn't like breathing through the snorkel but with a little more practice, he'll get the hang of it.

Lots of sand sculpting took place.  I didn't bring the sand toys but our hands worked just fine.  Some of the highlights included Tom the turtle, a couch, a chair, a heart, and the Great Wall of Hawaii!

(For my sister's....sunscreen was lathered on, and reapplied.  The tops of Aidan's feet are red and KJ's back is a little sore.  When they get home, you can read about their first visit to Hanauma Bay in their journals. :))
