Saturday was the boys last soccer games for this session.
Number one fans, seen below!
Caleb scored his first goal with this team! So exciting.
After Caleb's game, we had a little party/lunch celebration with his team. Noah tried to stay out of all the craziness!
Caleb received two medals, an angry bird gift bag, a certificate, and a gummy bear lei. Here he is with his coach, Dustin.
Noah scored his usual handful of goals and did great job encouraging his teammates. His end of season celebration is this coming Saturday.
That afternoon, I took the kids, minus Noah and Jonah, to Waimanalo Bay for some beach time. Kristen was the only one brave enough to tackle the waves here and I think she paid the price. I think she swallowed about a gallon of saltwater and ate just as much sand. Caleb, Aidan, and I made up all sorts of games along the shoreline to keep us entertained.....but filled our suits with sand. Oh well. Oh, and I had no camera there. Dang.
Sunday was Father's Day. Dad made breakfast...oops...and opened presents from the boys. One of which the boys proceeded to play with for the remainder of the morning. :)
We then headed to Kailua to do some body surfing at Kalama beach park. On our way, we stopped near the lighthouse to see the goats that were stuck in the netting on the mountainside.
Lots of fun was had at the beach....as usual.
Kristen and Caleb made a hot tub,
Aidan and Noah rode lots of waves,
and played in the sand too.
Here you can see Noah first, then Aidan riding some of the waves in. They were brutal waves....the video does not do them justice. The waves, on this day, captured my sunglasses and the clasp to Kristen's swimsuit top.
And one more that I captured of Noah riding all the way to the beach. These types of rides always seem to happen only when the camera is off and put away. He literally drops from the top of the wave straight to the bottom, just as he is getting going.
Kristen dug herself a DEEP hole to stand in.
And then we all packed her in there!
Monday we headed out to Ko'Olina but the water was freezing! And as Bushia noted, the wind sounded like a hurricane through there!
The kids and I went for a walk around the resorts and down along the shoreline up the coast.
This is where we saw our largest sea turtle yet.
We then had to take a trip inside the Disney resort, Aulani. We walked all around the place and spent plenty of time drooling over the pool area. We even spotted Minnie Mouse!
As expected, the place was amazing!
That evening, Eric and I took Kristen over to Koko Head for the crazy climb up the stairs of doom! We all wore pink shirts so the boys could easily spot us from the lanai at our house.
We were all smiles in the beginning,
and breathing rather heavily about halfway up.
SO STEEP!
And we made it to the tippy top!!!!
Here is KJ traversing the bridge part of the track. I promise, it is way scarier than it looks here.
The boys stayed home with Bushia, and entertained themselves like so...
Only two and a half more days to recap....
:(
