Mother's Day Weekend Roundup

Such a fun, low-key, family oriented Mother's Day weekend.
Friday night we attended Ohana (Family) Night at Noah's school.  They were also having a silent auction and the boys had a blast running around checking our bids every 5 minutes to see if we were still in the lead!  I guess we'll get a phone call today if we won anything.  The last thing Noah said to me this morning before exiting the car for school was, "I hope we get a call for our prizes today!"  After Ohana night, we had a movie night at home with Alvin and the Chipmunks Chipwrecked.  The boys practiced their chop stick use with popcorn during the movie.
Saturday was mainly filled with soccer....and lots of sunshine!  Happily, I remembered to put sunscreen on.  Both boys won their games and Noah again scored four goals!
After a late lunch we walked to the local hardware store and then to the car show.  If you click on this link for the Honolulu Star Advertiser, you can see the boys checking out the DeLorean.
Caleb even got to sit in it....he was completely clueless to the continual references to Back to the Future being made by all the surrounding adults.

Saturday night, I stayed home with Caleb and Jonah while Dad and Noah biked over to Kaiser high school and watched the American National Rugby game between USA and Tonga.
Sunday morning, Mom was showered with gifts and enjoyed some delicious coffee.  The boys and I played a bit of their new favorite game, "library."  This round was much better than the last when I was the janitor and had to clean the whole time.  This time I was the librarian that led story time and puzzle time. :)
After Jonah's nap we headed to Ala Moana for some lunch and a little shopping.

Dessert Sunday night included this apple and butternut squash deliciousness over ice cream.  And of course we watched the Survivor finale as well as the Desperate Housewives series finale.....where this mom had a good cry fest.

Hope all my favorite momma's out there had an amazing day....especially my own mom and my mother in law.
